Resources During Covid-19
The Lantern ONLINE or in print:
A hard-copy Chinese medicine journal from Australia published three times a year.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, The Lantern presents an extraordinary online issue of collected materials as an entirely FREE download in April 2020. This collection focuses on lessons from our medicine's historical interactions with epidemics and has translations of the Wen Yi Lun (瘟疫论 Discussion of Warm Epidemics) by Steve Clavey, an editorial by Volker Scheid, a reprint of a translation of Ye Tianshi by Daniella Van Wart & Chip Chace, Thoughts on damp-toxin and a case study by Jin Zhao, a translation of Lei Shaoyi's approach to damp-warmth by Steve Clavey, and a guide for treatment by Ma Shouchun, translated by Dan Bensky & Craig Mitchell. As of 4/8/20, The Lantern continues adding to the online issue - including a translation of the Xue Shengbai text on damp-heat disease by the amazing Volker Scheid.
If you are thinking of using herbs to help with Covid-19 like symptoms, then The Lantern issue on Covid-19 ONLINE is worth your while. In it, you will find translations by Dan Bensky and the late Chip Chace, both of our EV founders.
SUPPORT The Lantern Chinese medical journal by subscribing. If you are not already a Lantern subscriber, please consider supporting these efforts to bring access to clinically relevant resources of the past. Thank you!
